Space News cited Iridium’s earnings call Feb. 26, where Desch bared the June 2015 launch for the first two satellites have been moved to October but that the company’s launch providers remain committed to the final deadline despite the delay.

In the call,  the chief executive, a Wash100 inductee, said the company plans to use the extension to perform validation tests for the payload software to ensure they will “meet the new date with a high quality launch and satellite.”
