Man charged with DWI in fatal Mooresville crash

ROWAN COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - A Rowan County man is charged after a person was killed in a car crash on Sunday morning, officials say.
Kala Martin, 23 of Mooresville, died in a single-car accident in the 3300 block of Deal Road in the Atwell community, officials say.
Joshua Dakota Thompson, 23, is charged with felony death by vehicle and driving while impaired.
Officials said the two were in a Ford Ranger when it crashed just after 7:00 a.m.
Thomspon was given a $30,000 secured bond.
