Polaris Industries Inc. (PII) reported second quarter EPS of $1.42 Tuesday morning, up from $1.13 in the prior year period. Analysts expected EPS of $1.39. The company also increased its full year EPS from continuing operations forecast to between $6.48 and $6.58, from prior guidance of $6.30 to $6.45. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $6.49.
Polaris Industries gapped open sharply higher Tuesday and climbed during the first 45 minutes of trade, before settling into a range. Shares finished with a gain of 12.34 at $145.52, with volume at a 6-month high. The stock closed challenging the highs of the year, trading at over a 6-month high.
