Abdul Khattab (11-0, 3 KOs) is enjoying world-class sparring ahead of his upcoming fight with Howard Cospolite (11-4-1, 5 KOs) on May 2 at the Frederiksberg-Hallerne in Copenhagen.

The Danish middleweight has travelled to Berlin to spar with former amateur world champion ‘Golden’ Jack Culcay, who is currently preparing for an interim WBA World Light Middleweight title challenge against Maurice Weber on May 9.

‘’This is a great opportunity for me to test myself against such a skilled boxer,’’ said Khattab, who is spending a week in German capital. ‘’Jack has a lot of experience and really knows what he’s doing.

‘’He is a former amateur world champion, who has won the European title as a pro and is now challenging for a world title, so obviously there is a lot I can learn from him, but hopefully the sparring is helping him too. I feel like I can keep up with the tempo and that’s given me a lot of confidence.’’

Legendary German coach Ulli Wegner has been overseeing the training in Berlin, ensuring both men benefit from the tough sparring sessions. "I'm in good hands here in Berlin,’’ said Khattab. ‘’Quality sparring like this is really good for my development. I look forward to showing what I’ve learnt in the ring on May 2.’’
