A picture is worth a thousand words: Cody Walker unveils striking mosaic portrait of late Fast & Furious actor brother Paul

He lost his Hollywood actor brother Paul Walker in a car accident in Los Angeles 17 months ago and not a day passes when Cody doesn't think of how to keep his memory alive.

And on Sunday the 26-year-old - who acted as a double to complete his older brother's role in highly-anticipated movie, Furious 7, unveiled a striking mosaic of the star in Melbourne.

The former paramedic, in Australia promoting his brother's movie, stood proud beside the smiling portrait as members of the public filed through the doors of Craigieburn's United Cinema.

The Oregon-based hunk has been busy keeping the fallen actor's memory alive and a day earlier kicked off the Paul Walker Car Convoy Charity Drive. 

The race raised funds for disaster relief in aid of Paul's charity Reach Out Worldwide, a network of professionals who volunteer to administer relief when natural disasters strike.

When Paul died his family requested that in lieu of flowers or gifts, donations be made to support the charity he set up.

Cody is travelling with his fiancée Felicia Knox to hawk the action movie and has previously admitted to being nervous about acting as a double, enabling the movie to be finished, since he had no acting experience.

Speaking to the Daily Mail Australia, the trainee actor said: 'I was honoured to be able to finish it for him, but more than anything it served as a really special time for Caleb and I to bond when we really needed it most.'

In the movie being rolled out worldwide, Paul's character Brian O'Connor appears for the final time.

Paul, 40, died when the Porsche he was in careered and smashed into a lamppost bursting into flames.

Fast & Furious 7 was mod-way through filling when Paul passed away.

He is survived by his 16-year-old daughter Meadow from his relationship with Rebecca Soteros.

The movie was completed using computer generated imaging and his brothers as body doubles. 

Cody maintains his famous brother would have wanted him to help finish the latest chapter in the franchise, especially given how close he was to fellow actor Vin Diesel.

He told the Sydney Morning Herald: 'He'd been working with the majority of these people – it's 15 years now – but 13, 14 years at the time of his passing. Of course, he'd want to see it finished.' 

Cody has been serving as a brand manager for his brother's charity, but The Hollywood Reporter recently revealed he was pursuing an acting career.

'Yeah I am, but I'm going to go about it my own way, going the way that I want to be known for me,' he said. 

'If I'm going to start my own career in this, you know I don't ... sorry, I'm not particularly fond of that question.'
