Youth leadership class tour Whirlpool

CLYDE – Youth Leadership Sandusky County’s Class of 2015 met at the Whirlpool Corporation, Clyde Division, on April 13. They heard from Doug Burns, director of new products, and toured the plant.

Robert Carter of Journey’s Family Amusement Center, Lisa Hammer of Millstream Motorsport Complex, and Jerry and Carrie Rios, owners of two Subway restaurants, also spoke to the students during the day about entrepreneurship, marketing and employer/employee relations. The day was planned by Scott Root of Time Staffing. The area eighth graders will meet again at the YLSC Graduation ceremony held at Vanguard-Sentinel Career Center on May 5.
