NEW HARMONY, IN (WFIE) - The 29th New Harmony Project is held at the New Harmony Inn from Friday, May 22nd, to Sunday, May 31st, and, this year, it hosted a famous television couple.

The event is designed for the people who are interested in the arts. It attracts actors, actresses, directors, and writers from all over the country. These people participate in the creation of three shows, which will be read publicly on Friday, May 29th at Thrall's Opera House in New Harmony.

Michael Emerson, who played Ben Linus on the popular television series, Lost, will be acting in one of the readings. His wife, Carrie Preston, will be directing a different reading.  Preston had a role in the HBO television series, True Blood.

After speaking with her, we learned she is not a stranger to southwest Indiana.

"I studied theater at the University of Evansville," says Preston. "Theater is my first love but I have been doing film and TV for the last decade or more so New Harmony is a place for me to come and really flex those [theater] muscles."

"I miss the world of the theater," says Emerson. "I miss the process of rehearsal, the scholarly focus on the scripts, the development of it over time."

If you would like to meet either Carrie Preston or Michael Emerson, the tickets to the Writers' Dinner on Saturday night are still available.

The dinner begins at 5 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Old National Bank building in downtown Evansville.

You can purchase an individual ticket for $125 by sending an email to NHP2015@newharmonyproject.org.
