BY PAT KIMBROUGH, HIGH POINT ENTERPRISEDocuments on file with the Forsyth County Register of Deeds confirm that Ralph Lauren Corp. plans to open a distribution facility in High Point.Carolina Income Properties plans to lease a facility to the apparel company on 116 acres at N.C. 66 and Interstate 74, documents state.The lease, along with a memorandum of option to purchase and other documents, were filed with the Register of Deeds last week. The project is expected to create hundreds of jobs.Ralph Lauren is already High Point’s largest employer, with more than 2,300 workers at several city distribution facilities.There was no comment from the company Monday, but city officials confirmed the plans.“It is great news for High Point that Ralph Lauren Corporation continues to show its commitment to our city – and in such a dramatic way as this latest major expansion,” said High Point Economic Development Corp. President Loren Hill, adding that construction should start soon.The High Point City Council recently approved a rezoning, annexation and development agreement for the site. The city will provide water and sewer service to the site, which is in Forsyth County but has been annexed by the city. Officials have said the water and sewer infrastructure will be in place by the summer of 2015.

Documents on file with the Forsyth County Register of Deeds confirm that Ralph Lauren Corp. plans to open a distribution facility in High Point.
