PORT CLINTON, Ohio- The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department has updated their investigation into an accident that injured several people outside of a Walmart in Port Clinton, saying that a “medical condition” may have started the chain of events.

Deputies with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department and Catawba Island police were called to Walmart shortly before 8 p.m. Friday after   a pick up truck hit two people in the parking lot, then struck ten other parked vehicles.

The two people hit as they walked back to their car, Michael and Carol Nemire, are in stable condition after being flown to St. Vincent’s Mercy Medical Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the pick-up truck, Randy Brook, was also flown there and was listed in critical condition at last check. The Ottawa County Sheriff is reporting that Brook may have suffered a medical condition, causing the accident.
