BOSTON — Online home furnishings giant Wayfair announced a partnership with paint company Sherwin-Williams to integrate color matching and inspiration in the Wayfair.com shopping experience.

Wayfair web page with Sherwin WilliamsShoppers will be able to browse paint colors alongside Wayfair’s more than 2 million products, the retailer said. Customers won’t be able to buy the paint on Wayfair, but it offers a printable coupon to use in local Sherwin-Williams stores for $10 off purchase of $40 or more.

“We are continually focused on creating innovative ways to help people shop for their homes,” Steve Oblak, Wayfair senior vice president and general manager, said in a release. “Whether matching new bedding to bedroom walls or pairing accent pillows with a new sofa, customers will now be able to find color inspiration and ideas right alongside Wayfair’s vast selection of products.”

Karl Schmitt, Sherwin-Williams senior vice president of marketing, research and design called Wayfair “a terrific partner for a collaboration that includes the integration of our color technology throughout the online retail experience.”

“While making purchases of home furnishings and décor on Wayfair.com, we know that Wayfair customers are also making decisions and seeking inspiration related to painting and wall color. It makes perfect sense to integrate our color expertise into the Wayfair shopping experience.”
