A Duggar daughter is finally getting the chance to move away from her family and strike out on her own.

Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard recently announced that they, along with their son Israel David, are leaving their closely-knit families in Arkansas and moving abroad to do missionary work.

The 26-year-old Derick posted the news on his family's website. The new father wrote that "God has put a desire in our hearts to serve Him internationally for longer than the typical short-term mission trip." However, the couple was yet unsure "how God would fulfill that desire in us."

"Earlier this year God brought about an opportunity much earlier than either of us was expecting," he added.

The said opportunity might be the reason for the surprising and sudden announcement, although Derick said that he and Jill had been talking and praying over the decision for months now.

The couple has not revealed where they will begin their ministry but a photo with the filename "Nepal" shows Derick on a mountain with an unidentified man so some are saying that that is where the couple is headed. Derick has been to the country before to do missionary work, and with the recent devastation Nepal has experienced, it made sense to think that is where the Dillards will set up their mission.

There has been some speculation that the decision to relocate and start a Christian mission overseas might be the couple's way of leaving behind all the negative publicity that has surrounded the Duggars and their reality show "19 Kids and Counting" since Josh admitted to molesting five young girls.

Jill and Derick are planning to start their new life abroad in July and are now preparing for the trip. Derick has already resigned from his job at Wal-Mart. The couple has even made a request for financial help on their blog.

"If you feel led to support our mission effort we would be so thankful to have you as a partner," their post reads, "You can give here on our website."

A link to a donation website is included and donors can opt for a monthly donation of $15, $25, $50 or $100.
