Scott backs bill on ozone standards

WASHINGTON — The following bills were introduced or co-sponsored by U.S. Senators from South Carolina.

Sen. Thune introduces bill to enhance lower ground-level ozone standards establishment

Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., has introduced legislation (S. 751) to “improve the establishment of any lower ground-level ozone standards.”

The bill was has 23 co-sponsors including Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C. The legislation was referred to the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.

Sen. Crapo introduces bill to prevent use of increases in Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac guarantee fees to offset deficit increase provisions

Sen. Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, has introduced legislation (S. 752) to “establish a scorekeeping rule to ensure that increases in guarantee fees of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac shall not be used to offset provisions that increase the deficit.”

The bill was co-sponsored by Tim Scott, R-S.C. The legislation was referred to the Senate Budget Committee.

Sen. Stabenow introduces bill to establish interagency trade enforcement center

Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., has introduced legislation (S. 758) to “establish an Interagency Trade Enforcement Center in the Office of the United States Trade Representative.”

The bill was co-sponsored by Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
