Ribbon cutting ceremony at the Steven Law residence Oct. 2

MORRISVILLE — The Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board, in cooperation with Madison County and Morrisville State College will hold a ribbon cutting event at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the residence of Steven Law, 3460 English Ave. The event is in celebration of the installation of a 7kW residential solar photovoltaic system by ARISTA Power through the Solarize Madison Program. ARISTA Power is working with students from the Morrisville Renewable Technology Center to complete the installation. The goal of the program is to support the installation of at least 30 solar PV systems within the county. Solarize Madison is a community-focused renewable energy program promoting sustainable energy production to stabilize current and future energy costs. Solarize Madison is a collaboration between the Madison County Planning Department and the Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board with support from the Renewable Energy Training Center at Morrisville State College.
