When a delicious, hypnotizing aroma seeps into my room, I’m sitting in my room grumbling at my impossible homework. I look up with a start and immediately know what it is. We have pizza. I rush to the stairs and take a huge breath and get a wonderful smell. I’m hungry already. My stomach says to me, “Feed me!”

I begin walking up the stairs in a trance, my stomach guiding me. I hear my sisters, attracted by the smell of food, stampeding down the stairs. I walk to the kitchen and see a beautiful sight. The three pizzas sitting there in full glory, cheese bubbling, crust bursting. The smell of garlic bread and toppings fills my nose. My stomach is roaring now. I must eat.

We bring the pizzas into the dining room.  We set them down, and the sun bursts through the windows, shining down on the pizzas, giving them a golden glow. The bubbles on the pizza pop. The mouthwatering garlic bread is set down along with a bowl of delicious caesar salad, filled to the brim. My sisters and I crowd the door frame ,and I push them out of the way. Krista whines, Jenna pushes back, and Alyssa yells, “STOP!!”

Our mom says in a very stern voice, “Knock it off or there won’t be any treats after dinner.”

“Sorry.”

We all apologize to each other, but Alyssa crosses her arms and looks grumpy, but only until she sees the food. She squeals with delight. We all sit down and dish up. I pile my plate with three slices of gooey cheesiness and a mound of salad that looks like a camel’s hump.

We stuff ourselves until we can eat no more and the pizza is all gone. The garlic bread? Devoured. The salad? Couldn’t stop us. The pizza? Never stood a chance.  As we sit around the table, with our stomachs stuffed, I think to myself how awesome this meal was, sitting here, with my family, enjoying a great dinner.
