Lacey Police Investigating Jewelry Thefts At Kohl's Department Store

Jewelry counters in store also damaged.

Lacey police are looking for whoever damaged jewelry displays and stole several thousand dollars worth of jewelry at the Kohl’s Department Store recently, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officers Michael Eden, Daniel Ricciardella, Darrell Nick, and Keith Pearce responded to the department store located at 304 Route 9 North in Forked River at 6:12 a.m. on May 13 on a burglary report, the chief said.

Investigation at the scene revealed that at approximately 4 a.m. an unknown subject forced entry into the building, damaged several jewelry counters and took thousands in jewelry before leaving the store, Paprota said.

Lacey Township Police Detective Brian Flynn, along with the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department CSI Unit responded. The damage to the building and the display counters is estimated at $2,500. Flynn is continuing the investigation, the chief said.
