Rugeley field cordoned off in missing man search

Police searching for a missing man have cordoned off a field in Staffordshire after items of clothing were found.

Stephen Greatrix, 45, went missing from his home in Rugeley in April.

Staffordshire Police said clothes and a bag believed to belong to Mr Greatrix were discovered by a member of the public on Thursday evening in a field next to Slitting Mill Road.

Forensic tents have been set up and officers are searching the area, police said.

They added that officers were in contact with Mr Greatrix's family to keep them updated on the search.
