A Milford man who recently pleaded no contest to armed robbery at a Dollar General store in Farmington has been ordered to serve 27 months - 15 years in prison.

Jonathan Truran was charged with pulling a knife on a cashier and demanding money from her on the morning of November 26. He was arrested a short time later at a nearby Farmington Hills house.

A trash hauler, who had spotted Truran fleeing the store, is credited with helping police locate him.

Truran entered his plea April 30, a few weeks before his trial was to begin. Oakland Circuit Judge Wendy Potts sentenced Truran on May 27, giving him credit for 183 days served in jail.

Court records indicate Truran has a history of drug addiction.
