Featured image for HTC Schedules

HTC has launched the company’s new One M9 flagship earlier this month as part of MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona. That handset resembles their last year’s One M8 flagship a whole lot, though HTC did improve on the last year’s offering. That handset is currently available in Taiwan and is making its way to other countries as we speak. We’re not here to talk about the One M9 though, but the One M9+ which has been leaking like crazy recently. The HTC One M9+ appeared in a video quite recently, and some additional images leaked afterwards. We’ll talk more about it in a bit, let’s tackle the official announcement first.

This Taiwan-based company has scheduled an event for April 8th, using the “More than One” tagline. They’re obviously hinting at the launch of the aforementioned One M9+ handset. This event will take place in Beijing, and it is quite obvious at this point that the handset will launch in China first, and who knows if HTC intends to push it the western markets or not. Anyhow, let’s get back to the leaked images, shall we. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll find 5 new One M9+ images which will give you a good look at the device. As you can see, there’s a physical home button on the front of the device, and BoomSound speakers are present here as well. This handset also has a China Mobile (Chinese carrier) logotype on the back. The “Duo Camera” setup is also back, and the aforementioned home button will allegedly also double up as a fingerprint scanner.

According to many leaks thus far and the image in the gallery down below (AnTuTu benchmark), this handset will feature a 5.2-inch 2K (2560 x 1440) display along with 3GB of RAM and and 32GB of internal storage. MediaTek’s MT6795T SoC will power on this handset, and PowerVR Rogue G6200 GPU is part of the package as well. 20.7-megapixel camera will be the main camera on the back, and will work in collaboration with the second rear-facing shooter. Android 5.0 Lollipop will come pre-installed on the One M9+ with HTC’s Sense 7 UI on top of Google’s OS.
