TOKYO -- Eight Japanese automakers manufactured a total of 26,210,927 cars globally in 2014, up 3.4% on the year, representing an all-time high for three consecutive years. The rise was driven by strong North American demand.
On Jan. 28, automakers Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Daihatsu and Fuji Heavy Industries separately announced their results.
