Fox News Channel host Bill O’Reilly announced Thursday night on his “The O’Reilly Factor” program that “Legends and Lies: The Real West,” on which he serves as executive producer, will get a second season.

The current docu-style series recounts the tales of America’s Wild West, including Jesse James, David Crockett, Doc Holliday and Black Bart. The program features first-hand accounts from direct descendants and historians, along with the support of archival photographs and special effects. Season two will focus on American patriots.

According to Nielsen, “Legends & Lies: The Real West” is averaging 1.2 million total viewers, including 208,000 in the adults 25-54 demo. It airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on FNC.
