Welcome spring with other garden enthusiasts at the "Making a World of Difference - Choices Matter" Garden Education Day at the W.K. Kellogg Biological Station on Saturday, May 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In partnership with the Manor House Rose and Thistle Garden Club and Michigan Garden Club, the workshop will focus on how gardeners big and small can make a large difference on the world in the way they use their property. Topics include "Sharing the Land: A ten year saga of living on the ridge" by Dr. Mike Klug and Carol Klug and "Growing a Container Salad Garden" by Sherri Snyder of Gull Lake Landscaping and "Making the Best Choices for insect & Disease Management" by Linda Whitlock, Consumer Horticulture & Master Gardener Volunteer Program Coordinator MSU Extension, Kalamazoo County along with a variety of other interesting topics and speakers.
The $40/person workshop includes continental breakfast, two morning sessions, lunch overlooking Gull Lake, and afternoon sessions. . Member discount available. Pre-registration is required by Friday, April 24, 2015. Call (269) 671-2160 for information and to register.
