Karl Nell Joins Ensco as National Security Solutions VP; Boris Nejikovsky Comments


ENSCO IncKarl Nell, a former deputy chief of staff for strategic planning at the U.S. Army Reserve, has joined Ensco Inc. as vice president of the company’s national security solutions division.

Ensco said Monday he will oversee division’s work in areas such as sensor development and integration; chemical, biological and geophysical phenomenology; software applications and modeling and operational applications of technology,

Boris Nejikovsky, president of Ensco, said Nell would bring a combination of his technology leadership, executive management, business acumen, national security and program execution background to the company.

Nell has advised the executive steering committee of the Reserve on a re-structuring project and on the inauguration of a new set of standards for the Army’s combat support training.

He was also an active duty officer at the Army before he joined the Army Reserve.

The 25-year technology veteran previously held leadership roles at Bell Telephone Laboratories, Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), TASC and CACI International (NYSE: CACI).
