CALGARY – Police are investigating a crash in the city’s southwest that sent one person to hospital.

Investigators say a man called police just before 9 p.m. on Wednesday to say he thought he had hit something while driving along Glenmore Trail near 37th Street S.W.

He didn’t stop, and instead left the scene and continued to his residence where he contacted police.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man unresponsive in the street.

He was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

At this point, police say there is nothing to indicate alcohol or speed played a role in the crash.

It’s unknown if any charges will be laid.
