Framingham-based Staples Inc. plans to release its quarterly results Wednesday, and analysts expect year-to-year earnings and revenue declines, TheStreet.com says. On average, they expect the office supply chain to post 36 cents in earnings per share and $5.93 billion in revenue. TheStreet Ratings rates the stock a “hold” with a C+ score. Despite reasonable valuation and debt levels and a “notable return on equity,” Staples has “unimpressive growth in net income, poor profit margins, and weak operating cash flow,” it says.
