Why I Wear What I Wear

Kellie Pierce is a busy mom with three boys. She also works as the director of operations at the Downtown Great Falls Association and is an AFLAC representative as well.

"I have to be able to transition from one job to the next," Pierce said. "Between work and swimming lessons, I want to be dressed in business casual so I'm comfortable and yet look professional."

Pierce is wearing a pair of black slacks she picked up in Las Vegas six years ago. She likes them because she can dress them up or down depending on her top and accessories. As a mom she doesn't get a lot of time to shop for herself so to her a nice pair of black slacks are a staple.

"I don't go anywhere without a pair of heels," Pierce said. "I feel funny in flat shoes unless I have my tennis shoes on and I'm running. I'm sure I will regret it later in life but for now I love a good comfortable pair of heels."

With summer approaching, Pierce wears bright colors to contrast some of the gloomy days in spring. Her raspberry-colored short-sleeved sweater is gathered around the inseam to give a flattering fit around the waist, without being too tight or clingy.

For jewelry, she has on a silver-looped chain necklace which was a gift from her mother and a pair of diamond drop earrings which she received as a wedding gift from her husband.
