Increased time-to-market for complementary offerings and accelerated deployment of NFV solutions key to delivering on promise of virtualization

FREMONT, Calif., Feb. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Procera Networks, Inc. PKT, the global Subscriber Experience company, today launched the Procera Alliances Program, aimed at fostering mutually developed and integrated solutions that are jointly monetized and marketed to enterprises and network operators worldwide.

While not limited to network functions virtualization (NFV) solutions, the Alliances Program is driven largely by a need within the vendor community for proven interoperability among complimentary virtualized solutions in order to deliver on the promise of NFV. Partners may enroll in one of two tracks depending on the nature of their solution and the degree of integration involved:

  • Solution Partners – Will tackle pre-defined use cases, such as Virtual Consumer Premises Equipment (vCPE) and Mobile Policy Control, and involve Alliances with whom Procera collaborates to mutually develop and commercialize innovative, integrated solutions and services. One example of a solution in this category is Revenue Express, the industry's first end-to-end turnkey Policy Control and Charging (PCC) solution built in collaboration with Openet.
  • Technology Partners – Comprised of hardware and platform vendor and NFV technology partners with whom Procera collaborates to ensure tested and certified interoperability and product functionality. Procera has also pioneered the Market-Ready sales enablement tool for Technology Partners, as well as a Platform Configurator tool concept.

Vendors who enroll will join over ten other solutions providers currently engaged in the Procera Alliances Program and will be among the first in the industry to go to market with integrated and tested real-world NFV solutions that operators can deploy on their networks today. Additional benefits of enrolling in the Program include a listing in the Procera Alliances Directory, access to a dedicated Alliances Liaison, structured deal and proof-of-concept collaboration, and access to Procera's training centers and labs for Alliances Onboarding Training, integration testing and optional "NFV-Ready" certification. The program will also be open to channel partners worldwide.

"Virtualization opens new routes to market, but the vast number of niche NFV solutions in this new marketplace can cause confusion amongst potential buyers," said James Brear, CEO of Procera Networks. "For operators who are unsure about the first step to take toward embracing live NFV architecture, the Procera Alliances Program provides a step-by-step approach through pre-tested and pre-packaged solutions that work out of the box."
