A lot of biotech stocks were moving on Monday. So let’s take a look at some stronger ones and a few others.
Capnia (NASDAQ:CAPN) exploded for a couple days last week, and on Monday resumed the advance, up 1.05 to 6.50, on 1 million shares. That’s not as many shares traded as we’ve seen of lately. Monday’s low near 5.10 would be the stop point. If it’s able to get out above Thursday’s high, which was 6.90, it could run towards the 8-9.00 zone pretty quickly.
Kite Pharma (NASDAQ:KITE), one of those biotech stocks Wall Street is liking these days, jumped 2.74 to 65.54, or 4.36%, on 1.7 million shares on Monday. It moved up and consolidated several times, stair-stepping its way higher, until the 3-wave, corrective-falling wedge held, and the 59.00-range is the stop. It it does snap back, the targets are 70 short-term, 76 intermediate-term, and then we’ll see what happens.
TASER International (NASDAQ:TASR) has been acting well. It was up four days in a row, making little advances. It was up 18 cents to 22.76 on Monday, on 1.4 million shares. The line of support at 27.76 needs to be taken out, and then finally a thrust of 28.30, which will get it to 32.00, the next target.
ZIOPHARM Oncology (NASDAQ:ZIOP) made a new high at 10.70 on Monday, before backing off to 10.06, up 50 cents, or 5%, on 8.6 million shares. Let’s see if it can get a follow-through and get up to the 13 3/4 range, which is the next target.
