Insights for channel partners as they look toward the Windows Server 2003 support deadline

On July 14, Microsoft will terminate support for Windows Server 2003. While some customers may be concerned about the migration, it’s an opportunity for resellers to help ease any fears about the transition. At the 2014 Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC), Microsoft Office Corporate Vice President John Case said that there were still 22 million instances of Windows Server 2003 running worldwide which means there is an opportunity for solution providers to upgrade customers in a number of ways. By helping your customers fully understand the implications of Windows Server 2003 end of life, you can create a sales opportunity while navigating your customers through a process they are reluctant to take on by themselves. This is a great opportunity for solution providers to be a continued resource for those who are concerned or need guidance during the server OS transition.
