MESA, Ariz. — Scott Kazmir allowed just two walks and two singles in 5.1 innings Saturday in the A’s 10-4 win over the Chicago White Sox.

With one start left this spring, the Oakland left-hander readied himself for the season with scoreless work that lowered his Cactus League ERA to 0.75.

Oakland had leads of 2-0 and 4-3 but couldn’t keep the Sox from rallying, so Kazmir didn’t get the win. But the A’s got six runs in the eighth on an RBI double from Andy Parrino, a two-run homer from Josh Pridie and a bases-loaded double by Max Muncy to finally put the game away.

Mark Canha, who hit a three-run walk-off homer in the ninth inning Friday, delivered a game-tying single in the seventh, and later in the inning Billy Burns scored on a wild pitch as the A’s went up 4-3. Burns had four hits and upped his Cactus League batting average to .381.

But former White Sox pitcher Chris Bassitt gave up the equalizing run in the bottom of the inning before the sixth-run eighth decided it.

The A’s are 17-9 and have the most wins in spring training to date.
