Churches to host service at Madison Lake

Mid-York Weekly

An ecumenical church service will be held on Sunday, July 27, at the pavilion at Madison Lake. Everyone is welcome to attend; just bring a lawn chair.

The day will start at 10 a.m. with praise music and singing featuring Roger Dicob from Watertown and Rebecca Wilsey from Clinton. The worship service will begin at 11 a.m.

This year the service will feature a personal testimony given by George Longway from Newport. The Rev. Raymond Lighthall and the Rev. Terry Ramsey will be participating in the worship service which will consist of traditional hymns, reading of the word, prayer time and Longway’s testimony. There will also be a baptism in Madison Lake.

A free will offering will be taken to offset the travel costs of the musicians and to assist with the area Inter-Faith Council Christmas Project. A dish to pass picnic will follow at noon.

Regular services will not be offered on that Sunday at the Bouckville and Madison United Methodist churches as well as the Madison Baptist Church.
