Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell Confirms Employee Has Gone Missing

Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell Co., which sells network equipment in China, said its human resources head is missing and the company is investigating a report he may have vanished after reporting allegations of graft by executives.
Jia Lining hasn’t been reachable since Jan. 14, spokeswoman Ling Yi said today by phone. She said Jia had been working as normal and had no dispute with the company. The official Xinhua News Agency reported on its website today that the company alerted authorities of a rumor that Jia reported allegations of senior-level graft and abuse of power.
