A Triad company has announced plans to add 75 jobs at its Mount Airy plant starting Jan. 1.HanesBrands officials said Wednesday it will add the jobs to its sock production plant. The new jobs will average $44,000 a year including benefits.HanesBrands received $67,500 in incentives from the City of Mount Airy. Company officials said they plan to invest $500,000 to expand the 35-year-old plant, which currently employs about 230 people.Company officials said the new jobs are needed to meet increasing consumer demand.Anyone who wants to apply for the new jobs must go through the state Division of Employment Security office at 541 W.
