Regional GI Associates welcomes Dr. Babu Rao, MD, Board Certified Gastroenterologist

Dr. Babu Rao, a board certified gastroenterologist, brings more than 22 years of experience from his practice in Nashville to the West Tennessee market.

His clinic is located at 241 Stonebridge Blvd., near Regional Hospital.

Dr. Rao specializes in general gastroenterology and diagnostic and interventional endoscopy. He offers colorectal cancer screenings and treatment for abdominal pain, chronic diarrhea, hepatitis and liver disorders, gastroesophageal reflux and inflammatory bowel disease.

Montgomery promoted at BancorpSouth

Meg Montgomery has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Premier Banking at BancorpSouth in Jackson. She serves as manager and lender of the Premier Banking Department, which provides concierge-style banking to busy people. Montgomery has been with BancorpSouth nine years.

A graduate of the University of Memphis with a degree in finance, Montgomery is also a graduate of the Mid-South School of Banking. She has completed Risk Management Associates healthcare lending seminars.

Montgomery serves as chairman of the Industrial Development Board of Jackson and is on the board of directors of Jackson Downtown Development Corporation. She is an avid volunteer for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the American Cancer Society.

Montgomery is a member of Northside United Methodist Church, where she is chairman of the outreach committee and mission coordinator for Children’s Ministries. A third-generation banker, she enjoys traveling, especially to Belize, and enjoys running. She and her husband, Mike, have two young children.
