Paige Totilo, Former Norwalk Resident, 51

NORWALK, Conn. -- Paige Marie (Netherton) Totilo, a Norwalk resident, died on Monday, Jan. 5, at the JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, Fla., as a result of complications from pneumonia. She was 51.

She was born July 6, 1963, in Louisville, K.Y., and moved to Westport with her family in 1973, where she graduated from Staples High School in 1981.

While there she was an active member of Staples Players. She graduated from Katharine Gibbs and received an associate degree from Norwalk Community-Technical College.

She worked as a business technology specialist for Evaluation Associates Inc. and later for RTi Market Research.

She married Thomas Totilo in 2001 and moved to Norwalk where they lived with their three cats. She was a NASCAR enthusiast and enjoyed attending races with her husband and friends.

She and her husband were part of a group that founded the East Coast Meerkat Society and raised funds to upgrade the meerkat habitat at the Staten Island Zoo. Totilo also enjoyed visiting with family and friends and making trips to the Caribbean.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her parents Elliott and Joyce Netherton of Westport; her sister Cynthia Lipe and brother-in-law Joe of Spring, Texas, her brother Hank and sister-in-law Wendy of Woodland Park, Colo; nieces and nephews Kelly Sarvis, Tracy Bowling, Miranda Bickford, Mallory, Henry and Wyatt Netherton and great niece Lilly Sarvis.

A celebration of life in the memory of Paige will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a buffet lunch at 1 p.m., at the Westport Woman’s Club, 44 Imperial Avenue.
