White Clarke Group celebrated President and Group CEO Ed White’s 70th birthday in style at Whittlebury Hall in Northampton, on Saturday 31st January, in an evening that was filled with fun and laughter.

Ed, who is an enthusiastic antique racing car collector, was presented with an MG Racing Car cake, as a well as an enormous pile of presents given in a show of genuine affection from his organisation, many of whom had travelled from across the world to attend the festivities.

The evening featured a live band led by White Clarke Group staff member Anne Jenkins, and a caricaturist who sketched guests and even Ed himself. Proceeds from a casino set up for the evening were donated to Herts Air Ambulance.

Ed White spoke movingly about his long career in leasing, and remembered with sadness and affection his deceased business partner Dara Clarke who had started planning Ed’s party last March. “Dara is surely watching the evening from above” he told an emotional audience.
