OAK BROOK, ILL. — Christopher D. Silva, executive vice-president of TreeHouse Foods and president of Bay Valley Foods, has been named executive vice-president and chief operating officer of TreeHouse Foods.

In addition to overseeing all operating companies within Bay Valley Foods, Mr. Silva’s new responsibilities will include directing the joint go-to-market sales activities of both the Bay Valley Foods and Flagstone Foods organizations and building an organizational structure that will enable TreeHouse Foods to leverage the distinct sales organizations of the two businesses to realize the full potential of marketing the company’s portfolio across its customer base.

Paul Lapadat, president and chief executive officer of Flagstone Foods, will leave the company. Mr. Lapadat led Flagstone Foods, a manufacturer of private label fruit and nut snacks, since its formation in 2010.

Dennis F. Riordan, executive vice-president and chief financial officer of TreeHouse Foods, will maintain his current responsibilities while assuming the position of interim president of Flagstone Foods. Mr. Riordan has led the integration efforts since TreeHouse acquired Flagstone Foods in July 2014.

“Chris has done an outstanding job of establishing a single, cohesive strategy throughout the Bay Valley Foods organization since joining our TreeHouse nearly three years ago,” said Sam K. Reed, president, chief executive officer and chairman of TreeHouse Foods. “Chris will provide ongoing leadership around our go-to-market activities, while Dennis will lend his integration experience and operational oversight to Flagstone Foods, as we continue to build our growing snacks platform.”
