Netflix Inc. (NFLX) reported fourth quarter EPS of $1.35 after the bell Tuesday, up from $0.79 in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.45. The company added 4.33 million members during the quarter vs. 4.07 million in the prior year period. The company expects to end the first quarter 2015 with 61.4 million global members.
Netflix gapped open dramatically higher Wednesday morning, but was range-bound throughout the session. The stock finished up by 60.48 at $409.28 on strong volume. Netflix leaped to over a 3-month high and re-crossed both its 50 and 200-day moving averages.
