Gannett Fleming Names New Regional Director


(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 24 October 2014 Release date- 23102014 - Harrisburg, Pa. - Paul D. Nowicki, PE, senior vice president of Gannett Fleming, has been named director of the firm's Southeast Region.



In addition to this new role, he will remain a member of Gannett Fleming's board of directors and will continue to oversee the company's operations in the northeastern U.S.

Nowicki brings more than 30 years of innovation and leadership experience to the regional director position. He is responsible for the operational management, business development, strategic growth, and profitability of the firm's operations in the Southeast Region, which includes 10 offices and more than 150 employees.


Nowicki oversees the planning, design, and management of all civil, transportation, water/wastewater, water resources, and environmental projects for these offices. He works closely with managers in the Southeast Region to consistently uphold the firm's brand commitment, 'Excellence Delivered As Promised,' to every client and for every project, every day.

Nowicki has served at the helm of some of Gannett Fleming's most dynamic projects during his more than three decades with the firm, and his stamp can be found on scores of critical transportation projects in the northeastern U.S. He has become a trusted advisor to a number of valued clients, including the New York State Department of Transportation, New Jersey Turnpike Authority, MTA Long Island Railroad, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Numerous projects completed under Nowicki's leadership are hailed among the country's finest transportation infrastructure initiatives. The I-78 and Garden State Parkway Interchange 142 Improvement project in Essex and Union counties, New Jersey, was named to the Top 10 Roads List and the Top 10 Bridges List by Roads & Bridges magazine.

This project also garnered the Project of the Year award from the American Society of Highway Engineers, as well as a Grand Honor Award from the New Jersey chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies.

Additionally under Nowicki's direction, the Reconstruction of Route 18 in Middlesex County, New Jersey, was recognized by the American Road and Transportation Builders Association with a GLOBE Award, which honors U.S. transportation industry excellence in environmental protection and mitigation.

The project also received America's Transportation Award from the Northeast Association of Transportation Officials. The George Street Bridge, a cornerstone of the Route 18 project, received the Eugene C. Figg, Jr., Medal from the International Bridge Conference; the bridge is only the fourth structure in the U.S. to receive this prestigious honor. Route 18 also was named among the nation's Top 10 Roads by Roads & Bridges.

On Nowicki's appointment to Regional Director, Robert M.
