The distraught sister of a woman stabbed to death alongside her schoolgirl daughter, branded her psycho killer a “monster”.

Savage Aurimas Andruska, 28, was jailed for life for the brutal double knifing of Jolanta Lubiene, 27, and Enrika, eight – murdered because she would be able to identify him.

He knifed married Jolanta, with whom he had a brief affair, 61 times, and little Enrika 11 times.

The murdered mum’s sister Kristina said: “Anger and despair takes over when I see that monster, who butchered a young mother and a beautiful little girl.”

Jolanta’s husband Marius said in a victim impact statement: “My life has no joy anymore. Now the only place that I can meet them is when they visit me in my dreams.”

Andruska was handed two life sentences, but they will run alongside each other. The motive remains a mystery.

In a victim impact statement read to the Central Criminal Court in Tralee, Kerry, Jolanta’s heartbroken sister Kristina said: “Anger and despair takes over when I see how that monster, Aurimas Andruska, who butchered a young mother and a beautiful little girl.

“Who took two wonderful people’s lives for no reason at all in the safety of their own home. I have had to sit in court for over five weeks and watch him. I have seen how he has shown no sign of his guilt and no sign of remorse.”

The verdict at the end of a five-week trial came through just after 3.30pm following two and three quarter hours’ deliberation by a jury.

Coward Andruska, a heroin user from Ardmoniel Heights in Killorglin, Kerry, had denied the murders in the Langford Downs home rented by Jolanta and Enrika in June last year.

The scene uncovered by gardai on June 16 was soaked in blood – the child lay stabbed 11 times on the upstairs landing, and her mother, knifed 61 times, lay downstairs in pools of blood, with her pet dog standing guard over her body.

Jolanta’s husband Marius Lubys wept openly as the verdict came through – and said in a victim statement read to the court that the only time he sees his little girl and his wife now, is in his dreams.

He added: “Over a year ago I had a beautiful family. My wife Jolanta and daughter Enrika. We lived and loved one another the way we could.

“We made some mistakes, but who doesn’t? We raised and cared for our daughter the best that we could. On that horrible day that I found they were gone, my life was changed 100%. I didn’t understand why or who did it. There was a lot of tears, stress, sadness and plenty of sleepless nights.

“There was not one minute that went by when I did not think about them. Or that I had not thought about them since.

“I cannot describe to you how much I loved them, especially my little girl Enrika. My life has no joy anymore. I cannot hug Enrika or hear her joy or laughter anymore. I cannot see Enrika messing or playing around the house anymore. I miss them so very much.

The court had heard that killer Andruska came to Ireland in 2007, returned to Lithuania briefly but came back here in February 2013. He had a previous conviction in Lithuania in
relation to heroin storage and acquisition and was a heroin user when he came back here.

Victim impact statements from Jolanta’s family were delivered by prosecutors before Mr Justice Patrick McCarthy sentenced the thug to two concurrent life sentences – meaning the two will be served alongside each other.

Jolanta’s sister Kristina Kuleviceine, who lived near Killorglin and met her sister every day, said Andruska had “ruined” her whole family.

The murders had hastened her father’s death and robbed her mother’s “beautiful smile”.

Kristina also hit out at the picture painted of Jolanta during the trial, which heard graphic details of her sex life and relationships with other men. She added: “Many of the things that were said about Jolanta during the trial were not true. Some of these things were said by the very same people who pretended to be Jolanta’s friends.

“I do not say to you that Jolanta was perfect, but to be fair, I do not think that there are many of us who are really that perfect. We all make mistakes.”

Her sister was a very trusting person, Kristina said, and she trusted Andruska, who had come to her home to collect DVDs her sister was giving away. She added: “But she made a mistake to be so trusting and Aurimas Andruska not only broke her trust, he destroyed it.

“She was a decent person. She was a fantastic mother, sister, daughter and wife. Jolanta was the best friend you or anyone could have.”

The double murder probe was one of the biggest investigations ever in Kerry, headed up by Supt Flor Murphy and Divisional Inspector Fearghal Patwell.

Some 500 hours of CCTV footage were trawled through, finger print and other body samples were taken from 60 people and gardai flew to Germany to gather evidence on the type of shoes they identified at the blood-soaked scene.
