Technologies and markets continue to evolve at an ever-accelerating pace, providing customers with more benefits and options than ever before. Global enterprises, however, must respond to such changes with greater speed and innovation as they strive to enhance their competitiveness, develop new markets and invest in growth fields. To support such initiatives, the needs for flexible, robust ICT infrastructure have never been greater.

#1: LOW-COST, AGILE and ON-DEMAND ICT ENVIRONMENTS

NTT Com is aggressively supporting enterprise innovation by providing low-cost, agile and on-demand ICT environments, which we integrate and optimize on a global level as Seamless ICT Solutions incorporating cloud, network, security, applications and management services on a one-stop basis.

Akima Arima,
President and CEO,
NTT Communications

Last year, under our Global Cloud Vision we strengthened and expanded our networks, data centers and other global ICT infrastructure. We also extended the global availability of several major services:

• Enterprise Cloud incorporating SDN technology

• Arcstar Universal One network service with NFV, offered in 196 countries/regions

• WideAngle Managed Security Service for secure, reliable total ICT environments, and

• Global Management One for outsourced management/operation of all customer ICT environments under globally standardized conditions.

In addition, we significantly strengthened our cloud migration team over the past year to help enterprises transition smoothly to the cloud.

#2: 'ONE-CLOUD' SERVICE

This year, we will further accelerate such initiatives to support the coming launch of our next-generation cloud platform, which will offer customers various server types, including shared and dedicated, and even physical, on a one-cloud service basis. Customers will be able to migrate their on-premises server environments as-is into the NTT Com cloud platform using this highly flexible, on-demand, integrated service. Also during the year, we will complete construction of our Asia Pacific Gateway, a high-capacity submarine cable that will interconnect Asia, and we will begin offering new datacenters in locations including London, Ashburn (USA), Mumbai, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Osaka.

#3: UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS and BYOD

NTT Com will continue to strengthen offerings for unified communication, including Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) solutions for personal devices in corporate environments, enabling customers to achieve greater operational efficiency and more productive working styles.

NTT Com is driven more than ever before to deliver award-winning services backed by industry-leading quality, innovation and reliability.
