First details on 'Star Wars Battlefront' out in April
Electronic Arts says they plan to reveal the first in-depth details on its opening foray into the Star Wars universe during a fan event next month in Anaheim.
Star Wars: Battlefront, which will be developed by Battlefield studio DICE, will makes its official debut during the Star Wars Celebration event kicking off April 16, according to a statement from EA.
EA has been quiet about Battlefront since first announcing the game at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in 2013. At E3 last year, the video game publisher rolled out a trailer with a behind-the-scenes peek at Battlefront, a team-based action title that first debuted on PlayStation 2, the original Xbox and other platforms in 2004.
The game is part of a long-term arrangement between EA and Disney to create and publish games based on the Star Wars license. EA studios Visceral Games (Dead Space, Battlefield Hardline) and BioWare (Mass Effect, Dragon Age) are also developing Star Wars games.
