Fetcham double murder suspect Viktoras Bruzas arrested

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a couple whose bodies were found in their village home.

Viktoras Bruzas, 38, was detained by police shortly before 18:00 BST.

Police sought Lithuanian Mr Bruzas after the bodies of Patrick and Gillian Kettyle, both in their 50s, were found at their home in the village of Fetcham, Surrey, in the early hours.

Another man in his 30s, arrested earlier on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder, has been bailed.

Mr and Mrs Kettyle were found dead in their home by a member of their family.

Police said Mr Bruzas, who lives in Walton-on-Thames, had been known by the couple and had been detained as he drove a car through Oxshott, in Surrey .

Det Ch Insp Mark Preston, of the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, said the couple's deaths had been "a tragic incident which has shaken the close community in Fetcham."

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who assisted with the search of Viktoras Bruzas," he said.
