Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6 Release Date, New Features: 70 Percent Faster Than Old Version 5.5
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, of Adobe Systems Inc, is one of the most popular photo editors among graphic designers, professional photographers, and even newbies in the photography industry. The latest version, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6, is set to launch in March 2015.
Users of the Lightroom program can edit and manipulate digital images used for post-production. With the new version, they can expect the addition of new features and changes to the UI.
Adobe System's recent creation, Adobe Lightroom 5.5 was just released last June 18, but some users were said to be unsatisfied because they were expecting more from the program.
Based on reviews from the official Adobe forums, the recently launched Lightroom 5.5 allegedly lacked functionality.
On that note, professional photo editors made a list of things that they wanted to see in the Lightroom 6, which includes content-aware technology currently present in Adobe Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CC (Creative Cloud).
They also requested that the Lightroom 6 be available as an independent program from Photoshop Creative Cloud.
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 6 may reportedly address its predecessor's shortcomings and include some of the suggestions of their consumers, according to Adobe Systems.

JBG News reported that users can now conveniently save their work into the program's built-in database which can support a huge amount of digital data.
The Lightrooom 6 would also get a major overhaul in its user interface enabling the program to run more smoothly.
Aside from that, Lightroom 6 was reported to perform better and is more stable than its predecessor. It was also reported that Lightroom 6 has been optimized to run 70 percent faster than Adobe Lightrrom 5.5.
Meanwhile, for those who cannot wait for the highly anticipated release of the Lightroom 6 in March, they can get their hands on the mobile version which already has over 200,000 downloads.
