Billy Joel coming back to Citizens Bank Park in August

Two summers in a row in South Philly.

Who needs Bonnaroo? Billy Joel will headline that Tennessee mega-festival in June, but if the Piano Man's fans can wait a while longer to see him pound out his enormous catalog of hits, from "Scenes From An Italian Restaurant" to "We Didn't Start The Fire," they can see him in South Philadelphia on August 13th at Citizens Bank Park.

It'll be the second consecutive summer that Joel will headline CBP, and the record fourth time overall that the 65 year  old Long Island Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, who has been riding a comeback that began with a performance at the 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy benefit show at Madison Square Garden, has played the Pattison Ave. baseball stadium. (The first two were co-headlining dates with Elton John.)

Tickets go on sale January 30 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.com.
