Woman not missing, man detained in Kroger parking lot free to go

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC) - Police found a man holding what they believed was missing person's ID Friday night.
According to police, they detained the man in a Kroger parking lot in the 1900 block of South Third Street.
However, police let the man go when they determined the woman was not missing.
The man clarified that he broke up with his girlfriend and was worried about her. He then called her mother, who called police and claimed she was missing.
Officers said they found the man's girlfriend.
