Software maker Datawatch Corp. (DWCH), Wednesday reported a wider loss for the fourth quarter, despite higher revenues, with both earnings and revenues missing estimates. Shares of Datawatch plunged $2.79 or 25.39% in the after hours trade.
Chelmsford, Massachusetts-based Datawatch's fourth-quarter net loss widened to $4.87 million or $0.44 per share from last year's loss of $2.68 or $0.37 per share last year.
Datawatch's revenues for the fourth quarter rose 3 percent to $9.05 million from $8.82 million a year ago. License revenues dropped 10 percent to $5.24 million.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected loss of $0.19 per share for the quarter with revenues of $10.17 million for the quarter.
