Germany's benchmark DAX index little changed

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Friday dropped slightly by 40.96 points at 11,058.39 points.

A poll in Greece on Friday showed that some 44.8 percent of the respondents would vote a "Yes" in the upcoming referendum as opposed to 43.4 percent who would vote a "No". The blue-chip index lost 0.37 percent.

K+S Aktiengesellschaft, an agricultural chemical and salt company, advanced by 4.44 percent. Muenchener Rueck AG, a reinsurance company, gained 0.83 percent. LANXESS AG, a specialty chemicals company went up by 0.74 percent and Fresenius SE & Co. KGaA, a health care group, climbed by 0.24 percent.

The utilities company RWE AG St dropped by 2.91 percent. HeidelbergCement AG lost 1.29 percent and adidas AG slipped by 1.26 percent. The utilities company E.ON SE and SAP SE both went down by 0.86 percent.

The turnover stood at 2.73 billion euros (around 3.03 billion U.S. dollars). Daimler AG was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 220.78 million euros. (1 euro = 1.11 U.S. dollars). Endit
