KB Home (KBH) reported second quarter EPS of $0.10 Friday morning, down from $0.27 a year ago. Analysts expected EPS of $0.08.

KB Home gapped up at the open Friday and climbed during the first 45 minutes of trade. The stock advanced further around midday and finished with a gain of 1.41 at $16.37 on above average volume. KB Home surged to a 2-month high.
