HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, MI -- Dick's Sporting Goods is looking for people who love sports and the outdoors to fill about 50 part-time and full-time positions at the retailer's first Holland area store.
The Pittsburgh-based retailer says it wants "exceptional applicants, passionate about sports or the outdoors" to staff the store set to open at 3530 W. Shore Drive off U.S. 31 in the Riley Center retail strip.
"Ideal candidates will draw on their personal experiences and in-depth knowledge to guide, inform and inspire customers," the retailer said in a statement.
Dick's Sporting Good described its pay as competitive, and noted employees receive store discounts.

While not divulging the date of the store opening, the retailer said the store is expected to open in fall 2014. It will feature athletic and outdoor apparel and footwear and the latest gear for team sports, fitness, camping, hunting and fishing.
The opening will be accompanied by a three-day weekend of grand opening festivities with a variety of giveaways and special appearances in-store. More details will be announced in coming weeks.
Founded in 1948, DICK'S Sporting Goods, Inc. is the country's biggest sporting goods retailer. The company also owns and operates Golf Galaxy, Field & Stream and True Runner specialty stores.
