This article is more than 9 years old.

Leading up to Microchip Technology's announcement of its second-quarter earnings on Thursday, October 30, 2014 analysts have become more wary as expectations have fallen over the past month to earnings of 64 cents per share from earnings of 66 cents per share.

Over the past month, the consensus estimate has fallen, from 66 cents, but it's the same as it was three months ago. Analysts are expecting earnings of $2.49 per share for the fiscal year.
